See the Red Keep at Fort Lovrijenac
Perched on a rocky outcrop about 37 metres above sea level, Fort Lovrijenac served as a filming location for the Red Keep. Its courtyard is associated with Red Keep scenes, including Joffrey’s name-day tournament. From the fortress, look out toward the bay and the western side of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Reaching the fort involves a steep flight of steps, so allow time for the climb.
The setting may remind fans of the show’s Blackwater Bay storyline, but not every battle scene was filmed at the fortress. The series used multiple locations and production techniques.
